LRP Engines 1, 2, 3, @ the German Nationals

Despite the slightly different passport, Austrian Hupo Honigl wrapped up the first major title win for the Team Durango DNX408 buggy & LRP Engines; it was announced amongst much pomp and fanfare at the start of the year, but clearly development has continued over the course of the season to get it ready for a release towards the end of the year. The German nationals is a two-race affair, the first held in late August at the Sand am Main track (host of the 2011 Euros) which saw Jorn Neumann take victory followed by Hupo, his tyre choice for Rd 1, Revolver M2. Going into Rd 2 Neumann was the clear favourite to defend his title, however a double wasn't to be as he was forced to retire due to a broken servo gear. This promoted Hupo's chances of a title win at Rd 2 @ Fischach track. Hupo took victory but a very quick Daniel Reckward had applied some pressure, but in the end Hupo's package: DNX408, LRP engine and PL Caliber M3s withstood it and he rolled home as German Champion for 2010.
