LRP Dominate BRCA 1/12th Scale Stock Nationals

LRP drivers dominated the final round of the BRCA 1/12th Scale nationals at Chesterfield last weekend. On Saturday in the highly competitive stock class, Andy Griffiths, Matt Varah, Mark Stiles and Chris Kerswell filled the top 4 positions in both qualifying and the A Final, all running LRP based speed controllers and motors;

Stock A Final Result;

Andy Griffiths (V-Dezign/Nosram)
Matt Varah (V-Dezign/LRP)
Mark Stiles (V-Dezign/LRP)
Chris Kerswell (Serpent/LRP)
Robin Hammett (Serpent/Tekin)
Vesa Yli (V-Dezign/Nosram)
Luke Burley (Associated/Tekin)
Mick Farrell (CRC/Tekin)
Keith Robertson (Associated/Novak)
Daniel Holmes (V-Dezign/Tekin)

All four drivers used the latest ‘Version 2’ SXX stock spec speed controller and 10.5 motor fitted with the optional 12.25mm 1S tuning rotor;

LRP50832 - LRP X12 10.5 Turn Motor
LRP50639 - LRP StockSpec 1S LiPo Tuning Rotor 12.25mm

New SMD/LRP signing Mark Stiles had the following to say about his new electrical equipment;

“At Chesterfield I switched to my new LRP speed controller and motor for the third qualifying round as it was obvious the other LRP drivers had a distinct power advantage.

I was astounded by the difference in performance compared to my old equipment; without changing anything else on the car my lap times immediately improved by an average of 0.25 seconds and I was back on the pace of the front running drivers following a disappointing morning.

The existing LRP drivers advised me on which settings and gear ratio to use, and the result was a car that was both fast and nice to drive. The power band has so much more feel than I have been used to; it literally transformed my car!
I am now looking forward to running LRP electrics during the summer and into next winters 1/12th scale nationals...”

Mark and Chris will now turn their attention towards 1/10th electric touring cars where they will be running LRP and Sanwa products in the 2011 BRCA national series.
